Fellow Lions:

Since March is Lions Membership Month, let's make it a goal for everyone to bring a
prospective member to the potluck meeting on Monday, March 15th.  Maybe there is
someone at your place of employment, church, a neighbor, a business you frequent, a friend
or relative who would like to hear more about Lions.  You could share what a fun group of
women we are and what we have accomplished for our community and Lions International.

Please let us know the name of your guest prior to the beginning of the meeting so we can
offer a warm welcome,

If you have questions, please call Arlene Neitzke 454-2227 or Jullie Levinski at 454-3021.

Hi Mary & Mel:
Please add the following notice to the March Rivertown Lions Newsletter.
Thanks,
Jullie
Dear Winona Lions,

I have been an active member of the Lions Clubs for nearly 20 years.  My first club was the
Brooklyn Center Club were I was an 8 year member. This club was in 5M5.  While at B.C. Lions
we started a school scholarship program and initiated the Lions Quest Program.

Ten years ago I transferred  from B.C. to the South Saint Paul Lions.  While at SSP I was asked
to join the 5M6 District Cabinet.  I have been on the cabinet for the past six years serving as the
Youth Exchange Chair for the district for 3 years and the Youth Outreach Chair for the last 3
years.

This summer my family and I will be moving to Winona.  I have never been in a community where
there has been  more than one Lions Club.  Thus my dilemma.  If possible,  I would like to visit
your club sometime this spring.  I'm not sure how I will eventually decide what club to join (Maybe
I'll be the first to be a member in more than one - hahahaha - unless there is a rule against it.  I
do know of a few fellow Lions in the cities that are members where they live and where they work
- thus in two clubs).

Obviously, as I begin a new job I will need to have some flexibility in my schedule at work to
attend regular Lions meetings.  Lions is a most important part of my life - volunteering to serve
our community is so very important.  I look forward to meeting all of your club members.

If you have a membership or club member who handles guests to your club I would like to figure
out a time/date to visit your club.

Thanks so much
LION PAUL
