WINONA  RIVERTOWN  LIONS  CLUB

OCTOBER  2004 NEWSLETTER
Calendar of events

FELLOW LIONS:

Fall is in the air with lots of the leaves falling already and our cool evenings. I hope you had a chance to get out and take in some of the colors.
Lion Tracy and I enjoyed the fall colors on our trip to Brooklyn Center on Sat. Oct.9 for the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank annual Thanksgiving for Vision. The
speakers shared with us the ongoing studies they are working on and new medications they are experimenting with.
Our annual Spagetti Dinner will have been another successful fundraiser by the time this newsletter reaches you and you will be recouperating from all
            your hard work. THANK YOU.
I also want to thank our members who stood outside businesses on the cool morning of Oct.2 collecting for White Cane Day. They made it possible for
our Club to send a nice sized check to the Lions Mac Center.
I  have also heard that four letter word mentioned while listening to our weather report this week. It always seems a possibility as we plan for the Nov.
Zone meeting which is scheduled on Tuesday Nov.9 at Paradise Lanes in Lewiston. I hope many of you are able to attend.
Our speaker for Oct.25 will be Winona's City Clerk - Monica Hennesey-Mohan. She will get us all geared up for the big Nov.2 elections.
Thank you all again for volunteering and continuing to SERVE.
                    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Yours in Lionism, Pres. Sandy Lubinski
