Greetings Fellow LIONS:

With Thanksgiving “under our belt” we prepare ourselves for the Hustle and Bustle of the Holiday Season ahead.
The November Zone meeting in Lewsiton was well attended and a delicious meal of fish and beef was enjoyed by all. Lion Jill O’Donnell, the 5M1 women’s membership program chair, is encouraging each club to increase the number of women in their clubs. Following the meeting, lots of nice gifts were distributed at the drawing. There was only one Rivertown Lions member that came home empty handed, me.
Our visit to the Ronald McDonald house was once again a very moving experience. Our host was most appreciative of the pop tabs check and the Wish List items that we donated. She shared with us a short video and gave us a mini tour. We followed the visit with a stop at Baker’s Square for supper and comradery. Thanks Lion Maureen for doing the shopping.
January 24th brings our District Governor Julie Carlblom to Winona and she will be joining us for a Potluck Dinner to be served at 6:30pm. I encourage everyone to attend so you can learn more about Lions and how Lion Julie’s year has been going. This might also be a good time to bring a guest.
I hope all of you are able to take a break on Monday December 13, and can join us for a fun evening at Lion Judy Bovinet’s home in Valley Oaks, for our clubs annual Christmas Party. See you there.

Yours in Lionism,
Pres. Sandy Lubinski
