WINONA  RIVERTOWN  LIONS  CLUB

MAY 2005 NEWSLETTER
Calendar of events

HI RIVERTOWN LIONS:

Once again some of you have been keeping your talents a secret. I was very impressed by our membership committees Power Point Presentation. A big thank you, to Lions Jullie L., Kelly A., and Judy B. We all appreciate the prep time you spent – it was awesome. What a great way to introduce prospective members to Lionism and also give them an added bonus of feeding them a delicious potluck.
Jobs Change – People Move – which is just what Lion Judy Bovinet will be doing soon. Thank you, Judy for your service to Lions and your dedication to our club projects and fundraisers. Best wishes to you and your family as you pursue these new endeavors. We will miss you – especially at our Christmas parties.
On Saturday May 14th I introduced Lion Tracey Braaten to Camp Winnebago and its “clean-up day”. She now has an idea of where she has been sending her clients. We didn’t get to all the buildings because it was a rather rainy day – but we did get a work out scrubbing windows, floors, and refrigerators. Tracey had the privilege of climbing  a ladder and getting all the bugs out of the ceiling lights.
The All City Lions Club Pancake Breakfast was a success. Thanks for pitching in to sell tickets and to work on this extra fundraiser. The library patrons with Macular Degeneration will soon benefit from your efforts.
Can you believe it – this is my second to last newsletter. It seems like just a few weeks ago I was trying to figure out how I was going to get this newsletter to Lion Mary and Mel – now I have just one left to write.

YOURS IN LIONISM,
PRES. SANDY LUBINSKI
