JUNE 2005 NEWSLETTER
Calendar of events
Greetings Rivertown Lions:
I’m having a hard time deciding how to start
my final newsletter. So I guess I’ll start
by listing some reminders – followed by some issues/correspondence.
1 June Banquet – Monday, June 27th at the Country Kitchen at 6:00 P.M.
2 Our speaker will be VDGE Jack Krage
2 July Potluck Picnic – Monday, July 25th at Lion Ginny Motl’s home
3 5:30 P.M. sharp – Joint Board Meeting
4 6:15 P.M. 1st boat departure
5 2005-06 Dues are $72.00
6 Sat. September 17th – White Cane Day
The recent All City Clubs fundraiser has sparked an interest among the
other clubs
members to make this project an annual event. Lion Larry Betchwars
suggests we set
up a committee of two persons from each club to organize this project
for next year.
The By-Laws committee met and they have a new set prepared – they want
us to bring
our questions to our July meeting and vote on them in August.
Winona’s Leo Club once again will be having Lion Nancy Dunbar as their
advisor –
she recanted her resignation after getting Lindsey Hanson and Geri
Naal to volunteer to
help with the Leo Club.
It has been a privilege to represent the Rivertown Lions as your President.
Thanks to all
of you for your help and support this past year – your hard work made
this another
successful year for our club. Best wishes to Lion Arlene Neitzke as
she begins her year
as President. We all keep on serving and helping others. Thanks again.
YOURS IN LIONISM,
PRES. SANDY LUBINSKI
