FROM BEHIND THE GAVEL
One month of 2006 is almost gone and Valentines Day is
just ahead. Believe it or not,
Spring is just around the corner and I am looking forward
to putting my bike in gear for a
jaunt around Lake Winona.
The Lions calendar for 2006 includes opportunities
to raise funds for various
organizations, assist with the All City Lions fundraiser
in May and other activities. Also,
Rivertown Lions have another Breadbowl Soup Supper earlier
in the year.
A Lions-sponsored Diabetes Expo is planned for
November and any individual who
would like to assist with the project can attend the
planning meetings scheduled for the
second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 at Winona Health.
Jill O’Donnell is the contact
person.
The January board meeting will be at 6:15 pm on
January 23 with the membership
meeting at 7pm. All board members are urged to attend
the meeting. The activity commitment sheet will
be available for review.
Think Spring!
