FROM BEHIND THE GAVEL
 

The wind is blowing outside and once again blew in a new President! I am
honored and proud to be your new president!  Rivertown Lions has filled spot
in my heart and life.  I appreciate all you guys do for me and with me.  Not
to mention all the wonderful food I get to eat when we are together. Please
don't hastate to let me know when I have forgotten something or I am not
following Roberts Rules as I have never meet Robert before. I want this to
be a fun and relaxing year.  The next two months should fit that bill nicely
with the Banquet upon us and the picnic next month.

-Guest speaker: Lion Randi Fravert
-Helen Keller Award: Maureen Gorman
-Installation of officers: DG Al Fravert
 
-Incoming President Tracy Braaten remarks: SmartTown
Cards were distributed and the fundraiser was
explained. Her goal is to have a fun year.
 
-Lion of the Year: Kathy McGuire
-Past President Arlene Neitzke resigned from the club

BANQUET

Thank you to the banquet committee for the nice job done on June 26.  (Gina Benson, Grace Miner, Mary Rennells, Susan Nielsen).  We were a little crowded but the food and the company was great.
