FROM BEHIND THE GAVEL

Hello Everyone-

Summer seems to have come and gone.  I am not sure where it went. I want
July back!

Thank you very much Dan and Ginny for being the hostesses with the
mostessts!!!!  We sure enjoy coming to your home to ride the river and eat
(wonderful food provided by the best cooks in town)!  Thanks!!

August is the time we have to start gearing up for the year ahead.  We had a
couple months off, now the work begins again.  The budget committee met and
I think it will be a very nice year.

Please don't forget to bring some sort of topping to my house for Project
Compass Ice Cream Social.  507 W. 10th st.  Little Blue House surrounded by
huge white houses!

Zone meeting in Sept. 12th in Plainview.  We will have to sign up for that
at the August meeting.
Don't forget Dues are due again for the year!

Rec., Sandy Lubinski and Kathy McGuire will chair the
project  .

-Zone meeting in September in Plainview
-Next month committee sign-up sheet will be passed
around
-September White Cane Day
-October Bread Bowl
-President Braaten explained the problems with the
SmartTown Cards & said the problems have been
corrected. Members should go into the website and put
in their name, address, and charity. Rivertown Lions
number is 05710582 and the password is 5585 if you
would like to see our dollar amount.
-Co-VP Debbie Maus and Maureen Gorman will serve on
the board. Motion-Ginny Motle, Second Gena Benson, All
in favor.
