Treasurer's report - Jullie L. moved to accept, Sandy seconded, motion passed
Secretary's report - Ginny M. moved to accept, Sandy L. seconded, motion passed

    Winona Concert Choir request for money to travel in June 2007 to sister city in Poland

Old Business:
     Diabetic Expo
         Sandy L. reported that committee met on 11/7 for a wrap up.Concerns listed included parking spaces.
DG Jack said that more signs might have helped.  Except for parking issue, positive feedback for Expo.
Tracy
heard great things about the speakers.  Suggestions for next time:microphone system, street address in
paper,
create a support group for people with diabetes, a follow-up note for those who test positive..  Next
Expo will be in 2008.  Approximately twenty people tested positive. Susan Roehl, one of the participants,
worte a thank you in the paper.
   Distict Leadership Forum
      Jullie, Deb, Pat, Diane, and Maureen attended various sessions. Shared ideas.  Gary Evans, main
speaker, was very good.
   Peace Poster
     Tracy reported that the judging went well.  Bob A. has a request that each club pay for the first, second,
third place winners and teacher to attend the midwinter since it will be held in Winona.  The Sunup club
does
not have much money and has requested help in paying their share.  Julie M. made motion to pay $40 for
our share and help Sunup, Jullie L. seconded.  Discussion was held on the motion.  Motion was amened to
read, "Rivertown
Lions will pay $40 for our winners and teacher and $10 twoards the Sunup club's share."  Motion passed
unaminously.
   Zone Meeting
     Good turn out for zone meeting held in Winona.  Tracy shared about the family unit for couples,
parent/child to received a discount on dues.  Must be in same club.  Hearing dog monies will only go for
Minnesota now instead
of international since MN had not received any services.  Midwinter changed to $10 registration which
everyone pays and then pay seperately for meals.
Midwinter will be held at Riverport in Winona.  Ginny shared that the wreath for holiday of trees cost her
daughter-in-law $45.  A check was given.
Wreath theme was winter sports.
New Business:
   Christmas project
     Erica, Diane, and Kathy  The committee decided to give $110 to the food  shelf and then split the
remaining $90 among themselves to buy presents for  needy families.
   Christmas party
     Pat, Deb, and Maureen   Party will be at Maureen's house, 60 Richmond  Drive.  It's in Knopp Valley.
Come in valley, take left fork, first street past the park turn right, second house on the right.  Hors d'oeuvres
at
6 p.m., and dinner served at 6:30.  Please bring $10 to donate for the meal.  Also bring about $5 to donate
to a cause and a regift.  Should be fun.
   Joint Meeting with all the Lions clubs in Winona.  January 11.  Need to  set up a committee since it is
Rivertown Lions turn.  Perhaps get Nancy Brown to do an update on hearing screening.  Also discuss
midwinter and
membership drive.
 
DG Jack Krage spoke.  He said that ours is the 34th clube which he has  visited.  All his club visits have
been interesting in that each has its own  process and flavor, but we are all dedicated to Lionism.  He
encouraged us
to get on HBC or radio or write about our events so that the public knows  what we do.  There is a
leadership forum in Menomen April 12-15th and still room for someone to attend.  District 5M1 is seeking
a person for the vice
district governor's job.  He also shared his discovery that he had diabetes
He encouraged attendance at midwinter.  Also commented on international in Chicago this summer.  The
Cotter band will lead.  This is quite an honor for  Winona and 5M1.
 
Next meeting will be the Christmas party, December 11th at 6 p.m. at
Maureen's house.
