Hello everyone!
The leadership forum was nice once we found it. They had
good speakers. We did get all the money that we received handed out
to those who were in the flood. Our all city breakfast is January
20th. It was changed as there so many things going on in March.
Maybe the Christmas Committee should start meeting. It will soon
be that time of the year again. Everyone remember to come up with
a clean joke!

PROPOSED BUDGET Ginny Motl made a motion to accept Julie Monson seconded
CORRESPONDENCE
- Pam Simon from Smart Town is willing to speak.
- Rock Solid opened a new coffee shop and sent a coupon
- Judy Richter from Ready Set School sent a Thank-you
for our donation.
- Peace Poster reminder to organize the Peace Poster
contest
- USA/ CANDA forum will be 9-18-08 in Canada
- Project Compass Thank-you for our help at the Ice Cream
Social
OLD BUSINESS
- Shirts Maureen will place the order. They should be
here by the October 22nd meeting.
We will need to pay Maureen at that time.
- The District Governor visit will be 1-28-07.
We will have a Potluck that night.
- There will be no Potluck at the October 22nd
meeting
- Zone Meeting in St Charles 9-11-07. Campaign
Site First has raised 109 million so far
And would appreciate personal donations.
They need 150 million more.
- The November Zone meeting is in Winona.
- We will not be having White Cane Days at this
point. It might possibly be rescheduled.
NEW BUSINESS
- David Leachal’s ( the Zone Chair ) visit is scheduled
for the October 22nd meeting.
- The Leadership Forum is scheduled for Saturday,
October 13th from 8:30 to 11:45 in Stewartville.
Tracy, Jenny, Sue and Deb will attend.
- The Plainview Lions will be holding their anniversary
on October 13th 6:00 Happy Hour, Dinner is at
7:00
- A Camp Winibago cleanup is scheduled for October
6th at 9:00 AM
- The Lions Pancake breakfast will be held in January
2008. Sue Nielson will chair that committee.
- The Joint meeting will be held January 10th.
- We will put our name in again for the Eye Bank
Tour
- Emergency Flood Relief and LCI Funds Tracy
received a check for 700.00 to
distribute to Flood Victims. This money was
distributed to 7 families in Winona. Another 350.00 was
received today. Three more Winona Families will
receive this money. Tracy will distribute this also.
Our speaker for the night was Tom Lee from Winona Dive
and Rescue
