Midwinter went very well this year. They changed many things
and it went off without a hitch! We made
blankets with Project Compass. Helen said NEXT YEAR we should
make pillows. I said yes, IN TWO
YEARS we can!!!!
Please be thinking of officers for next year. I think it is that
time of year again.
Please remember to go to the EAGLES CLUB the night of our meeting.
We will be decorating for the
bread bowl supper.

- Chatfield Lions Chili Fest was last weekend
- Humane Society would like donations
- Winona Agency Ken Mogren would like to speak sometime

- Camp Winebago- a reminder to bring donation to Mid Winter
- Thank-you for Grace Miners personal contribution to the Eye Bank
- Notice to Vote on Zone Meeting change at Mid Winter can have one
region mtg and skip a Zone meeting a motion was made to vote yes
OLD BUSINESS
- Pancake Breakfast was a success, approx 1000.00 in profits.
There
was a suggestion to possibly change the date to March next year. It
was
suggested to give 500.00 to the City of Rushford. Julie Monson made
the
motion, Julie Levinski seconded. We should be thinking of other ideas
for the money from the Pancake breakfast
- Midwinter 9:00 Sat Am Business Meeting. Pat, Maureen, Debbie, Sue
and Tracy will attend
- Blanket Committee- purchased fabric enough for 17 people. A
couple
could be made and given as a donation. Date of event is 2-6-08
6:30 to
8:30 at the Middle school.
- The Committee for the Melvin Jones award should meet. Debbie, Ginny,
Maureen and Julie M.
- Parade of Green Pat will use her discretion on the amounts to donate
- Joint meeting on January 10th was not well attended. Wondering
if it
is even worth doing. Tracy will speak to other clubs on whether or
not
to continue.
- Chili Cook off Feb 16th. Ginny, Tracy, Maureen and Julie
M will
make it on the 15th.
NEW BUSINESS
- Committee for the
Bread Bowl will meet after this meeting
- Post Card for Eye
Bank Saturday, April 5th. 15 can go, a
sign up sheet was passed around. The cost is 150.00
- Diabetic Expo
- Jimmy Johns has double
awards every Sunday. They also have one
day they designate 5% of the profits to one organization. Tracy will
check into this
