Turkey Day is just around the corner!  I hope to see you all at the
zone/region meeting this Thursday at the new Legion in Winona.  Don't
forget that we are not meeting at the church next Monday.

OLD BUSINESS
November Zone Meeting is hosted by us.  The Committee will be Kathy McGuire, Sandy Lubinski and
Grace Miner.  It will be Thursday, November 20th at the new Legion building on Sarnia.  $10.00 a piece.
John and Bonnie Burdick are the caterers.  Social hour at 6:00, meeting at 7:00. Sign up sheet was sent
around.  Count needs to be called in by November 5th.  There was a discussion on having the club pay for
our tickets at the zone meeting. We decided to keep it as each person paying for their own.

Diabetic Expo November 8th  Watkins is donating basket. Tracy will bring pamphlets  Meet at Krysco
Commons between 8:30 and 4:30. Mary will bring club banner.

October 11 was the Leadership Forum in Rochester.  Tracy and Maureen attended.  They learned we are
covered by insurance at our fund raisers.

Joint Meeting will be 1-8-09.  The District Govenor will be there. The Sunset Lions would like ideas for the
meeting

NEW BUSINESS

Tracy reported that the little white canes for White Cane days are available if we would like to order them
for next year.

Zone Chair  Randi Fravert announced that she will be running for District Govenor in 2010, Vice District
Govenor in 2009.

The Bread Bowl date is 2-24-09 at the Eagles.  Our meeting on 2-23 will be held at the Eagles instead of the
church. The Bread Bowl committee is Debbie, Jenni, Maureen and Pam.

Our November 24th meeting will be held at the Maplewook Community Center.  We will start at 6:30.  We
will combine the board and regular meeting.  They are starting an after  school program  called Kids First.
Bring kids games, Puzzles  or books for a donation.

Midwinter Convention  would like 3 consecutive newsletters and also if we have a web site before the
convention

There will be no December newsletter

Christmas Party  will be held December 8th at the Church. Starting at 6:00 pm. Cost is $ 10.00 each.

Speaker  Shannon Amsler  - WSU student from the International Students Club spoke on her recent trip to
China.
