Habitat for Humanity announces date for annual dinner event

Habitat for Humanity Winona-Fillmore Counties is proud to announce its annual dinner and auction which will be held on Friday, May 15th, 2015 at Visions Event Center, starting at 5:30 pm. In honor of the construction of its 50th home and the 50th family to be served, this year’s annual dinner theme will be “Building Happy Days!” Sponsors for the event include: Merchants Bank, Miller Ingenuity, Slaggie Family Foundation and Winona National Bank.

The event begins at 5:30 pm with a social hour and silent auction, followed by a sit-down dinner at 6:30 pm and finishing up with a live auction. There will be party games taking place during the event as well as a short program highlighting Habitat’s work in the community.

A special addition to this years event will be a 50’s Sock Hop with D.J. Paul Ebner of Party Crashin Entertainment. Some of the auction items include: a one-week stay at a Wabasha Cabin stay, a crab boil, a Mississippi River cocktail cruise, a Winona Marina boat slip and many more items.

Dinner costs $40/person and individuals must RSVP by May 1st, 2015 to the Habitat office located at 161 Lafayette Street in downtown Winona. Dinner guests are encouraged to dress in 50’s attire.
