Hobbies are great outlet for ones creative talents and provide a fun learning environment. Skills learned in hobbies often can be utilized between hobbies and other aspects of your life as well. With my interest in photography and recently video, my talents in these areas have been useful in promoting my activities in model aviation.

Model Aviation

For a couple of years I competed at indoor free flight contests in Minnetonka, Minnesota hosted by MMAC Club. Took first place in penny plane, no-cal, and HL glider at least once. 

RC Sailplane - Phoenix Arizona,  2001 Southwest Classic - third place in two-meter.  My first large contest with 200 pilots.

RC Blimp flying for Winona National Bank at Winona State University basketball games.

Helped with construction and flying of 50+ rubber-powered model planes for 9th grade physics students. Twice.

Helped with construction and flying of rubber-powered model planes for cub scout groups, Rock Solid Youth Center, and College for Kids.
