Vacation Bible School
Holy Land Adventure with five days in Bethlehem Village is the exciting VBS for First Baptist and Grace Presbyterian Churches.  The dates are Sunday, June 4 - Thursday, June 8.  Times are 6:00 - 7:45 p.m.

Children will become a member of a Tribe of Israel where they discover meaningful traditions and rituals and share the Bible Point for the day.  Tribes will visit the Marketplace, the Census Taker, the Village Playground and more.  There will be some commotion as the daily drama unfolds, making it feel like you're really there in Bethlehem.  Each day begins and closes with music, singing, and dancing.
Please sign up on the sheet in the fellowship hall by May 5.  Children ages 5 - completed grade 5 are encouraged to attend and bring a friend!!  This year there will be a $6 fee per child due to the cost of materials.

This VBS requires the help of many older youth and adults.  Soon you will be contacted for your fun assisgnment!!  Put this big event on your calendar now!!

Discovery Club is Returning!!
In fall 2005 children ages 5 - grade 5 from Grace Church and First Baptist attended eight weeks of Discovery Club on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Each evening started with a supper followed by club activities for children and Adult Bible study.

This summer, beginning Wednesday, June 14, Discovery Club will return.  We will meet at the same times, starting with a supper.  Adult Bible study is planned at the same time and possibly the youth group meeting with activites for children  in grades 6 and up.  Summer is not time to take a vacation from our faith, it is time to grow strong in our faith!!  Mark your calendars.  Watch for further details next month!!

Home Delivered Meals

Our church is responsible for delivering meals to recipients in the Goodview area during the month of April.

Anyone who can take one day a week for the last 3 weeks of the month should contact Dorothy Gilbertson or sign
up on the calendar on the bulletin board. David Kennebeck has signed up for the first week.  Meals are picked up
at 10:30 am at the Steak Shop Catering Service on east Mark. It will take about an hour to make the deliveries.
This is a wonderful service to the community and a great experience for the volunteers. Please consider helping us
with this Mission opportunity.

CONFIRMATION CLASS
We have done a lot of interesting things in confirmation this year! In class we have made
posters, memorized and written our own statements of faith, and learned what it means to be a Christian
and a Presbyterian. Our class also took a couple of "field trips." We went to a Mosque one evening
during Ramadan and learned about Islam and the Koran. Another night we served a meal to the
guests at the Bethany House. We also went to the movies and saw The Lion, the Witch, and the
Wardrobe. This summer some of us will also be going on a mission trip to Cass Lake Indian
reservation to take care of kids and fix houses. Thanks to everyone who helped to make
confirmation great!
