spReview of VBS
The Fisherman's Story VBS was held June 24-27, 2007.  Eight boys and girls attended the four days of learning how Jesus is More than just a man.  They saw a drama unfold each day that told the story of Peter as he followed Jesus and later was led by the Holy Spirit.  Children also made crafts, played games, had snacks and sang.  Songs learned to sing to their family and friends on the last night were:  More than Just a Man,  Come Follow Me,  Do to Others,  Love the Lord,  He Is Powerful,  Everything We Need.
The ten youth and adults who led the VBS enjoyed each day as much as the children.  It was amazing and a good gift for all of us.  Thank you to all the teachers, helpers and the children for another wonderful Vacation Bible School!

Brief History of Frank Hill German Presbyterian Church
Arndt & Anna Warnken in 1872 gave seven acres of land in Warren Township for the purpose of establishing a church.
On June 2, 1873 two acres of the seven were mortgaged which provided $500 to build the church, a frame building put up
in 1874. Arndt was the great grandfather of the Haedtke children, three of which were members of Grace Church: Willard,
Ervin & Ruth Haedtke Giverson.
Organized in 1873, the ministers were John L. Funk, Jacob Schaeder, John Leirer and August Bush. Membership was said
to be 24, consisting of original members Lafky's, Hurzwurm & Loerch. In later years. Rev. George Reibert of the
Presbyterian Church in Winona served Frank Hill also.
In 1878, property was given for the cemetery. The Frank Hill Cemetery Association was organized in 1962.
The last service held in the church was the funeral of Wm H. Lafkey, July 3, 1963, who is the father of Ray & Daryl Lafky
and grandfather of Holly Martin.
