Sunday School Mission Money
This year our first Sunday of the month offering
and birthday money will go to an orphanage in Malawi. The youth yard
sale earnings is going to the same place. Final money from September
2006-May 2007 :
1st Sunday of the month = $190.66
Birthday offering
= 7.92
Special donations
= 60.00
Youth yard sale
= 620.28
Total money for Malawi $858.86
Operation Christmas Child
On Sunday, June 24 we will have a special
mission focus on Operation Christmas Child. This year we will try
a more personal and family approach. Each family or individual who
wants to take part in this mission project will get a large size shoebox.
A list of appropriate items to include and specific instructions will be
handed out on June 24. Filled boxes should be brought to church by
October 30. Let's try to increase our box number from the 23 we filled
in 2006. If you are not present on June 24, please call Kathy Rosendahl
to get the information mailed to you.
Vacation Bible School
The Fisherman's Story VBS will meet Sunday,
June 24 - Wednesday, June 27 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Please sign up
now! Ages Kindergarten - Grade 5 are invited to join us for the exciting
days of drama, crafts, singing, games, snacks and more. Children
may bring friends. A sign-up sheet is available in the Fellowship
Hall.
Review of Bowling Party
The rescheduled intergenerational bowling
party included three youth and nine adults. They all enjoyed their
afternoon at the Winona Athletic Club.
Seniors Graduating from High School
Three high school seniors from Grace Church
are graduating this year. Jessica Arndt, from Lewiston High School,
is planning to attend RCTC where she will study to be a veterinarian technician.
Jacob Dornfeld, Winona Senior High, plans to attend the University of North
Dakota and study architecture. Jacob Nustad, Winona Senior High,
will be attending Lake Superior College to get an Associate's Degree (in
snowboarding!!)

Sunday School teachers for their dedication this past year: Pam Lica,
Kathy Weiner, Dave Polachek, Kathy Rosendahl, Jean Hayes, Tammy Engstler,
Mary Rennells, Janet Nustad, Cindy Burt, Heather McRae, Loel Gorden, Jim
Schaife, and Doug Rosendahl.
Scholarship Gift Given by Grace
Grace Church has given a $300 scholarship
in honor ofCarlis Anderson, Dan Ban- and
Dorothy Gilbertson for their work with the choir this year.
The scholarship has been given to Gretchen Papenfuss, a
senior at Winona Senior High, who will be attending Winona
State University in the fall. Gretchen is a student who has
been committed to the music department all through high
school, and someone who has performed at a high level.
The scholarship is provided with budgeted funds not used by
Dan Barr, who donated his time and expertise as our choir
director.

Kiyomi is back home in Japan, and would love to hear
from her Grace Church family.

LANDSCAPERS WANTED!!
We are caring for God's creation by doing a landscaping
project for a Habitat for Humanity home on Saturday, June
2, at 9:00 am. Everything to work with will be provided,
we just need 6-10 workers. If you are willing and able to
work for this project, please let Jennifer MacAskill know
soon!
COOKBOOKS ARE COMING'.
The cookbooks will be arriving this summer!
They are hardcover. 3 ring binder cookbooks with 400
recipes. The cost is $10.00 per book. If you would like to
pre-order, please send payment along with your name and
the number of books you want. The money raised will go
to help the general fund.

WANTED!!!
The Second Hand Shop hopes to expand at The Bazaar
this year. We're asking for unwanted jewelry that will
be used to stock a new jewelry shop. Jewelry may be
dropped at the church office to Elayne.
CORPORATION
Thank you to all who helped on workday. There are
still several projects remaining, so a list will be posted
on the bulletin board. Please sign-up if there is a
project you feel that you can help with. We appreciate
any help!
Corporation is looking for members. We meet the 2nd
Monday of each month at 6:00pm. We only meet for a
few minutes and then work on projects. If you are
interested, please let a Jennifer MacAskill know! If
you don't want to be on a committee, but are willing to
work, let us know that as well! "Thank you!

Summer 2007
CIRCLE II will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June
13"', in the Fellowship Hall at church. Visitors are welcome.
PW GIVES AWARD.....

Ellen Mrkvicka received Presbyterian Women's
Honorariumon Sunday, May 13*. Each year a member
is selected who exemplifies the spirit of the Lord in
giving to our church with time, talents and love, Ellen
is very deserving of this $75 award, which is donated
by PW to the John KJIOX Presbytery PW in Ellen's
honor.
Thank you, GPC, for donating funds in my name
for a scholarship to a deserving Winona Senior
High School vocal student.
I'm sure it will be helpful to Gretchen Papenfuss as
she continues voice studies at WSU.
