Camp Wyoming Scholarships Available
Have you seen the small tent with a Camp Wyoming flag in the Fellowship Hall yet?  This tent is to collect donations for the Camp Scholarship Fund to help the youth in our congregation afford to go to camp.  Christian Education Committee has suggested a worthy goal of the church paying 50% of the cost for each camper from our congregation.  So please remember to make a donation when you can!  Some future camper will appreciate your help!

Craft Projects for Shut-Ins
The monthly craft projects for shut-ins in well underway.  Deacons will soon deliver the second project, a colorful turkey.  Pictures are being taken of both the shut-ins and the children who are making the crafts.  A poster will display information about each of our shut-ins so that children can get to know them.  Also the shut-ins will be happy to see a picture of their child artist.  Children should remember to put their first name on their project.  Please have the projects back at church by the last Sunday of each month.  Thank you to the families for their help with the projects and to Pam Lica for the planning and preparation of each month's craft packets.

Operation Christmas Child
Please bring your box to church by October 28, the last Sunday in October, so that we can deliver the boxes to the collection site.  If you have any questions on this project, ask a member of the C.E. Committee.  In the next newsletter we will report on the number of boxes that our church filled.  Thank you to everyone who filled a box to bring joy and happiness to a child. It is probably the best gift you gave this Christmas!

PW THANK OFFERING

Envelopes and information about the Thank Offering will
be handed out to women (and men if they wish to
contribute) on Nov. 18 and should be returned Nov. 25 or
as soon as possible.
Thank Offering funds are distributed a year after being
received, to groups that can not be supported through the
regular budget giving. Projects must meet criteria
established by the Creative Ministries Offering Committee
including consistency with the mission concerns and
policies of the PC(USA). At least 40% of the Thank
Offering funds go to health-related projects.
$983,194 was distributed this year from the 2006 Offering.
Examples of where last year's Thank Offering went: To
Grace Clinic in Kennewick, WA to increase size of a
nondenominational, faith-based, free medical clinic by
adding two dental treatment rooms; to Presby. Church of
Cloquet to supply meals and social interaction to senior
citizens; to African American Pastor's Institute, NC to
provide compassionate care, education and leadership
development for people affected by AIDS; to Kirinda
Water Project, Kampala, Uganda to install permanent safe
and clean drinking water system to serve the slum area
inhabitants of Kirinda; Kasangati, Uganda to help women
living in rural areas eradicate poverty by breeding,
distributing and marketing pigs; to Interchurch Medical
Assistance, Inc. Malawi to provide postage for overseas
shipment of 70 pound boxes of medical supplies and many
other projects to help families and communities improve
living, social and health conditions.
A complete listing of the recipients of Thank Offering
grants is on the Mission bulletin board.
Give as you are able, not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.

CIRCLE I will not meet untill January

CIRCLE II will meet in the Fellowship Hall at
1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14th. We will study
Chapter 2 of Ruth. Visitors are always welcome.

 Habitat for Humanity

Grace Church is still providing meals for H/H on the first
Sat. of every month. Besides needing a main dish,
veggies, milk, bread of some sort and dessert we need
one or two people to deliver and serve the food.
This project has been an unintentional fairly well kept
secret but it needs to be a church wide project with
participation by many more individuals.
Anyone who is interested and willing to help with this
project, please contact Kathy Weiner, Janet Nustad or
Dorothy Gilbertson. Thank you.

HOLIDAY FAIR
