PRESBYTERIAN WOMANS'S REPORT

All women of Grace Church are invited to take part in the activities of Presbyterian Women.  We are a local
organization - part of John Knox Presbytery and National PW.
Our local Coordinating Team, elected by the women of the church, met 3 times for regular meetings,
during the year to conduct necessary business and to plan the year's program.
Three circles met for study and fellowship and to help carry out the plans of the coordinating team. Biblical
and social issues were studied and discussed. The women also gave of their time, talents and money regularly to
the ongoing work of the church, both locally and worldwide, and were active in the community.
We hosted the birthday party at Lake Winona Manor on April 28*. Again the women came through with
cakes for this affair. Coffee and ice cream are furnished by the Manor.
Mission Boxes is an on-going project within the Presbyterian Women's organization. Boxes are sent to
Port St. Vincent, a home for low or no income in Madison, Wl; and a box to an overseas mission.
The Presbyterian Women receive two special offerings during the year. The Birthday Offering was received
in May and the Thank Offering was received in November. The totals are found in the Presbyterian Women's Financial
Report.
The Annual Spring Gathering was held on May 7". The program consisted of an 'Apron Style Show" with
32 women in attendance. We enjoyed hearing stories about the history of some of the aprons.
During the Fall Workshop in September, the theme was 'Presbyterian Women Celebrating in Ministry,
because 2005-2006 is the anniversary of the Presbyterian Women, which began September 2, 1945. A list of the
first 3 Elders and Deacons, the year they were ordained and the number of years,  they served was sent to
Presbytery to be used at the Workshop Program.
The Holiday Fair, our only fund raiser, was held on November 12m~ Our chairpeople have been doing this
for so many years, it makes the Committee's job easier each year.
We continue to subscribe to the Horizon Magazine (PW Magazine) and These Days (devotional booklet)
for personal use of members of the church.
Our financial giving included supporting Presbyterian Women through John Knox Presbytery and giving to
Church Women United. On going giving includes Fellowship of the Least Coin and the Presbyterian Hunger Fund.
We also give an annual amount to Grace Church. These figures can be found in the Presbyterian Women's
Financial Report.
Our representative, Dorothy Gilbertson, took part in Church Women United of Winona planning meetings
and programs.
Holly Martin and Gayle Arndt were honored with a PW Honorarium. A monetary gift was given to the
National PW Program Agency in their names in recognition of their contributions to church and community. They
also received a pin and certificate.

The women take an active part in Grace Church and we thank you all as we strive to grow in doing God's
work in the local church and beyond.  Our Woman serve in our community.  We are stengthened and fulfilled
doing God's work.
