Our Beliefs – we believe that…
All people are conceived and born in sin
and therefore have a dire need for a Savior.
“Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived
me”
(Psalm 51:5).
Faith is something we have freely received
from the gracious hand of loving God though the gospel in Word and Sacrament.
Faith comes from hear in the message, and the message is heard though
the word of Christ” ( Romans 10:17).
The bible is God’s Word and is therefore
totally true and relevant to our daily lives. We base all our teaching
and practices on the Bible.
“All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16)
The only true God is the God of the Bible:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and
the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:14).
God sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue
ALL people from sin, death, and hell through his perfect life on the earth,
his innocent suffering and death, and his victorious resurrection.
“For God so loved the world the he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
Forgiveness of sins and eternal life in heaven
are gifts from God given by grace (underserved love) alone through faith
(trust) in Jesus Christ alone.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not
from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one
can boast”
(Ephesians 2:8-9).
Good works are a fruit of faith that are
done out of deep gratitude and thanksgiving for what Christ first did
for us.
“I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received”
(Ephesians 4:1).
