The Winona Municipal Band, under the direction of Richard J. Lindner since 1973, performs a weekly concert at the wonderful Lake Park Band Shell every Wednesday evening from mid-June through mid-August at 8 P.M. The band consists of from 55 to 60 members and is a fully instrumented concert band.
The band consists of area adults and a small number of college and high school students. The emphasis is on adult membership.
The rehearsal and the concert are on the same day. Rehearsal begins at 6 P.M., there is a short break at about 7:30 P.M. and the concert begins at 8 P.M.
