Many of our encased pieces are also designed with a marine theme. Be sure to take a look at them too.
Egg Coral Reef
The tall shape of this piece allows us to create the many layered look of a real coral reef. By making use of this shape we can show the teeming life of the reef in a single droplet. Colin has recently updated this design, so if you have bought it before, look again! The small version, shown in this photo, is 4" tall. |

The Large Egg Coral Reef paperweight, shown here in two views, has an extra layer of cane drawing, thus more complexity and visual depth. Notice the several varieties of fish and coral. Colin has even put a small seahorse in this one. This paperweight is 6" tall. |
Any of the designs below is available as a paperweight or a marble.

Coral Reef
Small Coral Reef paperweight/marble (left) and Mini Coral Reef paperweight/marble (right). These pieces both have turquoise to cobalt sea floors. The sea floor is surrounded by drawings of branched corals and sea fans, and yellow fish swim above. The small is approx. 2.75" to 2.87" in diameter and the mini is 1.75" in diameter.
Angelfish Coral Reef paperweight/marble. This piece has a sea floor similar to the small and mini, but it has been built up in two layers. There is a layer of lovely yellow and white anglefish separated by a layer of clear glass from the coral, sea fans, and yellow/orange fish. Size is approx. 3.25" to 3.37" in diameter.
Stingray Coral Reef paperweight/marble. This piece is teeming with three layers of sea life. The stingray swims just above the sea floor. A layer of yellow and white angelfish circles above the stingray and a final layer of coral, sea fans, and orange and yellow fish finishes off the piece. One size only: approx. 3.62" to 4" in diameter.
Peach Reef:
Yes, we know there's no such thing as a peach reef. The seabed in this one, though, consists of peach-colored coral. Instead of using an opaque
base, as we do in most paperweights, we've made this one over clear glass. It gives the design a light, open feel. The fish help too. This paperweight
is approximately 3.25" in diameter and about 2.5" tall.
School Of Fish
(available only as paperweights)
|
This series captures the vibrant and frantic life of the ocean. In the reefs, fish rarely travel alone or even in pairs. They make their way through the reefs as a moving tapestry of life. The Mini School of Fish has a single layer of fish and is approx. 1.75" in diameter. The Small one has two layers of fish swimming across it and is 2.75" to 2.87" in diameter. The Large one is full of fish swimming in three layers and is between 3.37" and 3.5" in diameter. Specify "Orange School of Fish." |
I also make School of Fish paperweights in all sizes with blue fish, instead of yellow and orange ones. Specify "Blue School of Fish." |
|
This school features two layers of lovely yellow and white angelfish swimming over a mottled black background. The School of Angelfish comes in two sizes: Large (3.12" to 3.25" in dia) or Mini (1.5" to 1.75" in dia.). |
Here's the whole family!
Tidal Pool Designs
I was drawn to the starfish design early on because the life that swarms in tidal pools has always interested me. The smallest paperweights/marbles in this series are the Mini Starfish, which are 1.5" to 1.75" in diameter. The Small size (2.5" to 2.75" in diameter) has one starfish and the Medium (3.12" to 3.25" in diameter) has three starfish. Unless you specify a color range, we will use our imagination. The starfish are usually orange, but other elements may vary, as will the background color.
Mini Starfish

Small Starfish:
The small design in this series got a facelift this year, to
incorporate some of the dynamic features of the new large
starfish paperweight. It features sprays of white coral, a single
starfish, and varicolored barnacles, sand dollars, and sponges on
a mottled seafloor. Size is approx. 2.5" to 2.75" in
diameter.
Here are two color variations
of the Medium Starfish.
Colin, who creates most of the Starfish
these days, has developed some fantastic
new design elements and
has introduced some exciting
colors.

Large Starfish:
Starfish have been in our repertoire longer than any other
design, and they keep evolving. Colin introduced
this new, large version that is very eyecatching. It
features two varieties of starfish plus colorful barnacles, sand
dollars, sponges, and coral on a pebbly and mottled seafloor.
Size is approx. 4" in diameter.
