In the time between 'pictures' there were a few mentions of the suit in various games. Hollywood mentioned me in the Florida Last Blast articles, and so on. But nothing really major. Then came Ohio.

To say my California trip was a whirlwind would do discredit to all self-respecting whirlwinds out there. I dragged Comet out for a scenario game that Paintball 2Xtremes covered. It was, naturally, "Armageddon 4329 : The Final Conflict". Which is where this picture was taken. I was going to grab my AnthroCo jersey, but I guess they didn't want to wait (it was beginning to be sunset, so you can imagine...) That's OK tho. But I look tired. There's a reason, I WAS tired. The scan doesn't do justice to how black my eyes were (It just looks like shadows...) At SC Village the next day I looked like death warmed over! I need to invest in "Nitol" or something before these Comet outings. Oh, and that gun cradled in my arms is my PMI-2. I've gotten into this habit of 'cradling' guns in my Comet pics, anyone else notice that? Click here to read my story from the Comet files... |

Now, what DID come as a complete shock to me is this image. (Click here to see a partial of it), my scanner bed is only so big.) What you're going to be seeing is Comet on the COVER of "Paintball 2Xtremes", Jan 1998. That 'crystal ball' graphic is in the upper corner of a lot of those pages too, and this blows me away. (Partially because NOBODY TOLD ME!!!)
What's weird is that I'm put in the same context as Bud Orr (A man who I worship, by the way) and Tom Cole (NPPL Prez). Bud was named the 'man of the year'! It just blows me away to see this one... Just totally! There isn't a lot I can say, other than I'm honored! And just completely blown away!
