Hard Ball: Dane Iorg edition
For those of you uncertain of how to pronounce Dane’s last name, it would be “Orj,” but despite a last name that’s not the easiest to sound out, Iorg was a solid major league player for a decade, winning a pair of World Series titles with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1982 and the Kansas City Royals in ’85, batting a ridiculous .526 (10-19) between those Fall Classics.

Dane took a few moments to speak with us this morning to relive that magical moment, talk about Bret Saberhagen and Dan Quisenberry and what it means to baseball for the Royals to be winning again and his life after baseball…
