Green leads Lake City past W-K girls

Madi Green scored a game-high 25 points as one of ten players to score for Lake City in a 71-40 victory over St. Charles in nonconference action on Monday.

Green had 18 points in the first half, two more than the Wabasha-Kellogg (5-7) team had as the teams headed into the halftime locker room.

Breanna Gates added 13 points and nine rebounds for Lake City (6-5), while three other players — Bailey Cronin (6), Daynalyn Jostock (5), Green (4) — collected at least four rebounds.

Kelsey Hartert led W-K with 19 points and Maddie Schmoker added seven to go along with eight rebounds. Lexy Peterson came into the game averaging 13.5 points, but scored just three, though she did haul in eight rebounds for the Falcons.
