Twins Winter Caravan 2015: Press conference
The Minnesota Twins Winter Caravan made its annual stop at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona, and HBC Sports was there to cover it.
Newly appointed Twins manager and Hall of Famer Paul Molitor discussed his plan to utilize the speed on Minnesota’s roster conducive to Target Field, the influences on what will be his managerial style, a time table for the Twins to compete in the American League Central, offseason acquisitions, Byron Buxton and his memories of not only playing against Cotter in basketball but also his time with the Milwaukee Brewers.
All-Star closer Glen Perkins touched on his feelings pitching in last year’s All-Star Game in his home park as well as the ebbs and flows of being a big league closer, and new third base coach Gene Glynn talked about Winona State and Winona high school sports and noted “I hope I don’t get anybody thrown out” coaching at the hot corner.
With the number of media outlets present for this year’s Caravan, there was not an opportunity to speak with anyone one-on-one.
