High School Hoops: Dover-Eyota girls throttle L-A

Twelve players scored, five of them in double figures for the Dover-Eyota girls basketball team as they registered a season-high point total and eased to a 100-29 victory over Lewiston-Altura on Monday.

D-E (15-1, 10-0 Three Rivers) nailed thirteen 3-pointers, five of which came from Grace Gellersen who finished with 19 points, and led 61-7 at halftime. Danielle Higgins led all scorers with 20 points, Madison Field had 12, Haley Finstuen accounted for 11 and Megan Hintz put up 10.

The Eagles have now won 14 in a row, while Lewiston-Altura falls to 2-12, 0-10). Jennifer Beyer led the Cardinals with eight points.
