Lanesboro dominates second half to coast past Hope boys

Hope Lutheran PatriotsThe Lanesboro boys basketball team built a five-point halftime lead into a 38-point victory as they outscored Hope Lutheran 42-9 in the second half for a 68-30 win on Monday.

Zachary Voeltz led Lanesboro (11-13, 10-9 Southeast) with 15 points (all on 3-pointers), while Cole Schwichtenberg added 13 and Markus Mulvihill dropped in 11. Liam Dorn pulled down 13 rebounds and Mulvihill had nine.

Hope Lutheran (3-20, 2-14) was paced by Andrew Fratzke’s game-high 16 points and 14 rebounds, though no other Patriots player could manage more than six points, as Josiah Sandcork had six with eight rebounds.

Streaks reached 4 for each school, with Lanesboro’s win streak advancing and Hope’s losing streak continuing.
