Fratzke overwhelming as Hope boys down Schaeffer

Hope Lutheran PatriotsAndrew Fratzke was nothing short of blistering to lead the Hope Lutheran boys basketball team past Schaeffer Academy 67-54 at Silo Gym in Lewiston on Thursday.

Fratzke poured in a game-high 32 points to go along with 23 rebounds to help Hope (4-20, 3-14 Southeast) snap a four-game losing streak overall and complete the season sweep of Schaeffer (3-23, 2-18). Fratzke was scintillating from the free throw line, going 15-for-18 on the night.

The Patriots led 27-22 at the half, but with the scored knotted at 41-41 with 9:55 to play, Hope went on a 26-13 run to close it out on Parent’s Night.

Hayden Meinke finished with 12 points, Josiah Sandcork added 11 points and eight rebounds and Theodore Tews had 10 points and three rebounds off the bench.

Zachary Sanger led Schaeffer with 16 points and Josiah Nelson was right behind with 15, while both accounted for six rebounds. Roman Lahr led the Lions with 10 boards.
