Hope girls fall to Schaeffer

Hope Lutheran PatriotsMegan Tews scored a game-high 15 points but it wasn’t enough as the Hope Lutheran girls basketball team lost to Schaeffer Academy 42-33 at Silo Gym in Lewiston on Thursday.

With the loss, Hope (6-19, 3-14 Southeast)  closed out the regular season with six consecutive losses.

Alex Ludford finished with nine points and 10 rebounds. Tews added five boards for the Patriots.

Lillia Newsom led Schaeffer (5-20, 3-16) with 13 points off the bench, while Katie Eidem had 11. Julianne Hanson pulled down 11 rebounds and Christina Westberg contributed seven points and seven rebounds for the Lions, who swept the season series with Hope.
