Gray dominates as Winona State downs Sioux Falls

Whether from the field or free throw line, Isaiah Gray was on fire on his way to a game-high 25 points as the Winona State men’s basketball team defeated Sioux Falls 80-69 at McCown Gymnasium on Saturday.

Gray connected on 8-of-9 shots from the floor and hit 8-of-10 from the charity stripe, while also pacing WSU (3-4, 2-1 NSIC) with seven rebounds to go along with three assists and three steals.

Kyle Bauman poured in 20 for the Warriors, 14 of which came in the first half to help provide Winona State with a 39-31 lead at the break.

Sioux Falls pulled within 52-50 with just under 10 minutes to play, but a Josh Mongan 3-pointer opened the door for WSU to pull away.

Mark Blacklock had 15 points and Mongan finished with 11 for the third consecutive game.

Riley Bambenek contributed a game-high seven assists and pulled down four rebounds for the Warriors.
