Moorhead uses late run to pull away from WSU men

It was a four-point game with twelve-and-a-half minutes left on the clock, but it was all No. 4 Minnesota State Moorhead from there as they earned a 93-72 win over the Winona State men’s basketball team at McCown Gymnasium on Sunday.

WSU (5-7, 4-4) went on a 6-0 run to make it a five-point game with 14:46 remaining, then a Mark Blacklock jumper had the score at 60-56 with 12:29 to go.

Moorhead then unleashed a 12-2 run of its own to pull away and never looked back.

The Warriors were down 43-36 at the half, shooting 51.9 percent from the floor (14-for-27), but shot just 35 percent in the second half (14-for-40) while MSU Moorhead connected on 53.3 percent (16-for-30).
