High School Hoops: Dover-Eyota v. St. Charles girls on Friday

The second and third place teams in the Three Rivers Conference West will square off when the Dover-Eyota girls basketball team travels to St. Charles on Friday.

After losing its first conference game of the season at Plainview-Elgin-Millville on January 26, Dover-Eyota (14-4, 10-1) bounced back to down Zumbrota-Mazeppa 74-53 on January 28 with strong performances from Madison Nelson and Megan Hintz.

Nelson notched a game-high 28 points, while Hintz finished with 16.

The Eagles have won 11 of their last 13 contests.

St. Charles (14-4, 8-4) have emerged victorious in 14 of its past 16, and delivered a convincing 59-42 win over Lake City on January 28 behind 26 points from Carolyn Shanahan and 11 from Amber Escobedo.

D-E defeated the Saints 64-35 in the two teams’ previous match-up on November 30.
