Chiefs fall to winless Rochester 9-5

It was a rough Friday night at Gabrych Park for the hometown Chiefs as they lost for the 12th time this season 9-5 at the hands of the Rochester Roadrunners.

Rochester’s Justin Kronebusch kept the Chiefs batters off balance most of the night in the complete game win, recording 13 strikeouts.

Rochester had jumped out to a 7-nothing lead before Winona got on the board with three runs in the home half of the fourth inning. The Chiefs added two more in the sixth. Rochester tacked on two more in the seventh to seal the win.

Next up for the Chiefs will be the Pine Island Pioneers, Saturday, July 16 in Pine Island.
