Winona, MN – Hiawatha Broadband Communications, Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of Melanie Messmann, former TV, Internet and Phone sales representative for HBC in Winona, as the newest Account Executive in the TV Advertising Sales department.
Melanie joined the HBC team in 2011. She has a wealth of knowledge to offer her advertising clients with 5 years experience in advertising sales and a degree from Winona State University in Marketing. In her new assignment, Messmann will be serving local businesses in their TV advertising needs through customized TV and web advertising packages.
“I simply could not be more excited to work with HBC business customers to improve their exposure and increase their sales” says Messmann. “My customers know they can trust me to develop the right customized solution for their telecommunications needs. In this new position, I will be able to help them grow their business through advertising as well.”
Hiawatha Broadband Communications Inc. (HBC) is a southeastern Minnesota telecommunications service provider. The company delivers voice, video and data applications to a customer base that numbers more than 12,000.
HBC’s roots are in a non-profit project begun in 1993, called Luminet. Luminet connected Winona education, healthcare and government institutions to extend the reach of teaching and learning. In 1997, the success of Luminet led to the formation of Hiawatha Broadband Communications, Inc. Today, HBC company operates in 16 markets with 40 percent of its stock owned by non-profit entities.
