Winona, MN – Crews wrapped up the first night of work on the HBC fiber relocation project at around 4:30 am this morning. The remainder of the work involved will be completed tonight between the hours of 12:30 am and 5:00 am.
HBC Field Operations Manager, Dan Fortek, said last night’s work went as expected and without incident.
“Things went very well last night. While there was a minor equipment issue, everything we had hoped to accomplish last night was completed,” Fortek said. ”We are expecting to wrap up the remainder of the work tonight.”
HBC needs to transfer HBC customers from fiber-optic cables running through the Hardee’s block onto a new fiber-optic cable to facilitate construction of the Main Square Winona development project.
