Hiawatha Broadband Communications, Inc. (HBC) announces the promotions of Todd Schaefer to the position of Chief Information Officer and Jim Kronebusch to the position of Chief Technology Officer.
HBC President and CEO Dan Pecarina said he is pleased that Schaefer and Kronebusch have accepted their new leadership responsibilities. “As the company continues to grow, so does our focus on technology related details including product development, time to market, quality control, and research and development. In their newly defined positions, Todd and Jim will keep HBC focused on these details.”
As Chief Information Officer, Schaefer will focus on increasing efficiencies of internal processes, collaborating with vendors, and aligning HBC technology with business priorities. Schaefer has over 24 years of experience in engineering and network operations and has been with HBC since 2011. Originally from New Ulm, MN, Schaefer is the proud father of five children.
In his new role as Chief Technology Officer, Kronebusch will oversee the implementation of technologies that enhance product development, while employing a technical strategy to provide a superior experience for HBC’s customers. He will also be responsible for HBC’s network operations and engineering teams. Kronebusch has been with HBC for 3 years. He has 15 years of IT experience in the healthcare and education and has also owned his own IT consulting company. Kronebusch is a life-long Winona, MN resident, is married and has two children.
