With the continuation of the COVID-19 outbreak, Hiawatha Broadband Communications has decided to
continue our remote working office model until June 30th, 2021.
Like many of you, our staff has been navigating the challenges and opportunities of having most of our
office staff work from home. We have been using this model since March and believe that it is still the
best model for keeping our staff and community safe.
Our offices are still staffed but are closed to walk-in traffic. An appointment is required for customers to
drop off, pick up, or exchange equipment. Customers may contact HBC by calling (888) 474-9995 or use
the live chat function on our website, hbci.com, to set up an appointment.
When scheduling an appointment, Customer Care Representatives will be asking a series of health
screening questions to assess when an appointment can be made. Per the CDC quarantine guidelines, if
anyone in the household has been ill, traveled on an airplane, or has traveled outside the country within
the last two weeks, an appointment will be delayed for a minimum of 14 days.
Payments can be made by using the payment drop box located outside your local HBC office,
conveniently paid online 24/7 at hbci.com/smarthub, or by calling (888) 474-9995 and following the
voice prompts.
We will also be continuing to require increased safety measures for our installation technicians. This
includes using disposable PPE such as boot coverings, masks, and gloves when coming into contact with
customers, verifying the health screening responses given when the appointment was set up are still
accurate, and answering a health questionnaire every day before they come to work.
Wizards Technical Support can still be contacted 24/7 by calling (877) 457-9669 or by using the live chat
function on our website, hbci.com, located in the lower right-hand corner.
HBC is committed to providing the highest possible level of service during these difficult times. Thank
you for your patience and understanding as we all navigate together through this crisis.
