Building a fiber-optic network takes months of planning—from network design and ordering of equipment to locating utilities and actual construction, there is a great deal of work to be done before we can connect your home to HBC fiber services.

Things are really taking shape in Hastings—more good news this week!

PON M—Wahoo! Fallbrooke Drive will be ready for services on November 13! Crews have wrapped up splicing and final prep work, and residents in this area can soon experience the speed and reliability of our fiber network. To get started, contact us using one of the following methods:

PON T—Crews are continuing to make progress on pole replacements as part of the preparation for upcoming aerial construction. While this phase takes time, it’s a key step toward getting the area ready for the next stage of the build. Underground construction is planned to resume in the spring of 2026 once conditions allow.

Bit by bit, Hastings is getting closer to being fully connected—thank you for your patience and excitement as crews keep the progress rolling!

We’re making steady progress in Hastings!

PON M—In Fallbrooke Drive, splicing is expected to be completed by November 5. The estimated date for service release has been adjusted slightly from November 3 to November 7. While that date isn’t exact, we’re getting close—just a little more fine-tuning before Flight Fiber is ready to roll!

PON T—Crews are focusing on roughly 20 pole replacements to prepare for upcoming aerial construction. Most underground construction in this area will take place in the spring of 2026, once the ground thaws and conditions improve.

Over on Fallbrooke Drive, construction is 100% complete! Crews start splicing on October 29, with services expected to be ready by November 3—just in time to hunker down with faster Internet before the snow flies.

PON T—Preparations are underway to kick off construction, with work expected to continue into 2026. Bit by bit, we’re expanding Flight Fiber across Hastings—one neighborhood at a time.

In most cases, a temporary drop can be installed to ensure service to your home. We will make every effort to complete drop buries already on the schedule, as long as weather conditions allow.
