At HBC, our vision is to enhance and enrich the lives of those we serve. We live that vision each day by supporting hundreds of groups and organizations throughout the communities we serve. Through monetary donations and volunteering time, we can support great organizations like these:
Home Delivered Meals
Providing drivers for Winona Volunteer Services (WVS) program to deliver meals weekly to the elderly and homebound.
Operation Food Rescue
Transport rescued food donated by Aldi for Winona Volunteer Services for distribution to those in need.
Grocery Grab
Participation in WNB Financial annual event in support of March FoodShare month.
March is FoodShare Month
HBC believes in contributing to the betterment of our communities and to improving the quality of life of our neighbors and friends. In support of this, we would like to highlight that the Minnesota FoodShare program has its largest food and fund campaign in March, and there are several ways you can support this campaign with WVS and the over 850 community members that they support.
Winona Culvers
Will be donating $1 to WVS for every pint of custard bought between Monday, March 22nd, and Sunday, March 28th.
Midtown Foods
Between Wednesday, March 24th, and Tuesday, March 30th at the checkout, you can choose to “round-up” your transaction to the nearest dollar, with the “leftover” cents given to WVS.
Other Ways To Support
Monetary donations are always appreciated as well, as food shelters can buy food at a discount through the Channel One Food Bank, including fresh produce, dairy, etc.
Monetary donations can either be mailed to or dropped off at their office at 402 East Second Street, Winona, MN 55987 Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or submitted online by visiting winonavs.org and clicking the “donate now” button.
Food donations are always welcome as well and can be dropped off at the dock of their office during business hours.
