(Winona, MN) – Hiawatha Broadband Communications (HBC) employees joined forces with the Winona community to pack more than 100,000 meals at the recent Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Mobile Pack event.
For the past 13 years, the Winona Rotary has sponsored this impactful event, and this year’s Mobile Pack took place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Winona Senior High School. Over 550 volunteers from local businesses and organizations came together to pack a total of 101,736 meals. These meals will provide enough nourishment for 278 children to receive one healthy meal a day for an entire year.
In addition to the meal packing, the event also raised $32,305 in donations for FMSC.
FMSC is a Christian nonprofit organization based in the Twin Cities, committed to feeding starving children across the globe. The meals packed at this event will be sent to schools, orphanages, medical clinics, and feeding programs in over 70 countries, making a vital impact on communities in need.
