For Immediate Release (04/30/2021)
Winona, MN – HBC Studios will be providing live coverage of local Winona commencement ceremonies on HBC TV 25.
According to Media and Marketing Manager, David Dicke, plans are to broadcast four commencements: Winona State University on May 7th with ceremonies at 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.; three ceremonies at St. Mary’s University on May 8th at 10:00 am, 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 pm; Cotter High School on May 28th at 6:00 p.m.; and Winona Senior High School on June 11th at 7:00 p.m.
“We are pleased that we can provide coverage of these life events for family members who are not able to attend in person due to pandemic restrictions,” Dicke said. “Our local education
communities have large international student populations. This year we will again offer a free live-stream broadcast that will allow for the families of those students who cannot be here in person to watch from anywhere in the world.”

Dicke is hopeful that there will be additional events to broadcast this year after COVID-19 wiped out most of the 2020-21 TV 25 live broadcast schedule.
“We typically cover over 100 events over the course of a year. This past year that number was reduced to under 20,” said Dicke. “We are tentatively planning to offer an abbreviated summer live event schedule and are hoping for a more robust sports schedule this fall.”
