There are Three ways you can Program your Remote:
- Program your remote using the Popular Brands Method.
- Program your remote using the Direct Code Entry Method.
- Program your remote using the Code Search Method.
Popular Brands Method
- Turn on all of the devices that you wish to control.
- Press and hold OK and MUTE until the POWER
- Press A (yellow) for TV or B (blue) for audio device. The POWER button stays lit.
- Find your device and brand from the charts below and note the Digit button assigned to your brand.
- Press and hold down the Digit button for your device/brand.
- Let go of the key when your device turns off. Setup for that device is complete.
-If the POWER button blinks 2 times, you have successfully programmed your device. If the POWER button has 1 long blink, your device did not program.
Direct Code Entry Method – TV
- Press A (yellow) button.
- Press and hold OK and MUTE until the POWER button blinks twice.
- Enter the first TV code for your TV brand from the code list.
- Press the POWER button to test TV control.
-If the TV turns off, setup is complete. If the TV does not turn off, repeat process using the next code for your TV brand.
Direct Code Entry Method – Audio
- Press B (blue) button.
- Press and hold OK and MUTE until the POWER button blinks twice.
- Enter the first audio code for your audio brand from the code list.
- Press the POWER button to test audio control.
-If the device turns off, setup is complete. If the device does not turn off, repeat process using the next code for your audio device brand.
Code Search Method
- Press and hold OK and MUTE until the POWER button blinks twice.
- Press A (yellow) for TV or B (blue) for audio device. The POWER button stays lit.
- Press and hold down the OK button.
- Let go of the OK button when your device turns off.
-To find the exact code for your device, use the CODE FINDER feature at www.urcsupport.com.
Setting Volume Controls
- Press and hold OK and MUTE until the POWER button blinks twice.
- Press the VOL + button.
- Press A (yellow) for TV or B (blue) for audio device.
-Volume functions default to control the TV. Follow the above steps if you wish to use an audio device for volume control.
Locking Input Switch to one Device
- Press and hold OK and MUTE until the POWER button blinks twice.
- Press the Input button.
- Press A (yellow) for TV or B for audio device
Setting Master POWER Button
- Press and hold OK and MUTE until the POWER button blinks twice.
- Press the POWER button.
- Press the letter button that corresponds to each device you wish to turn on when watching cable TV. ( i.e. A (yellow) for TV or B (blue) for audio device.)
- Press and hold MUTE until the POWER button blinks twice.
-Pressing the POWER button turns your home theater equipment ON or OFF.
Troubleshooting
Problem: POWER button does not blink when button is pressed.
Solution: Replace batteries.
Problem: POWER button blinks, but remote does not control my equipment.
Solution: Press correct button and point remote at equipment you need to control.
Problem: Tried all codes for my brand of device and none work.
Solution: Try CODE SEARCH Method or go to www.urcsuppport.com for model-based search.
Problem: I want to switch VOLUME LOCK from AUD to TV control.
Solution: Follow Setting Volume Controls instructions above, but press TV mode button instead of AUD mode button.
